In these rules, unless inconsistent with the context, the singular shall include the plural and vice versa and the male shall include the female.

1.1

BET SLIP

shall mean the official bet slip issued by the Operator for the purpose of selecting pools, horse combinations and sport results or other predictions which are to be read by the Ticket issuing machines

1.2

BOX

shall mean that mode of betting where selected horses or sport results are permutated all ways in relation to the type of bet and applies to, amongst others, the following pools: Swinger, Exacta, Trifecta and Quartet

1.3

BRACKETING

shall mean that where a trainer has more than one runner in the race they shall be deemed to be bracketed i.e. considered as one selection. Bracketing will depend on the bet type which will specify whether bracketing applies.

1.4

CARDED

shall mean that any horse appearing as an entry, or Reserve runner, in the official Race Card, regardless of whether it was scratched before or after the Race Card had been printed, shall be considered to be Carded

1.5

COMMINGLING

means the amalgamation of defined betting pools within a pre-determined community of wagering or betting entities and the declaration of a common Dividend within that community. Host tote rules apply in commingled pools

1.6

CUSTOMER

shall mean a person who places a bet with a licensed OPERATOR. The words punter/investor/bettor shall have a similar meaning

1.7

DIVIDEND

shall mean the money declared to be paid to holders of winning Tickets in respect of each unit bet calculated in accordance with these rules as they apply to each form of betting

1.8

EACH WAY

shall mean a win and place bet on one horse issued on the same Ticket

1.9

EVENT

shall mean a sport Event or any lawful contingency on which betting is allowed

1.10

EMPLOYEE

shall mean a person acting as such, whether in a permanent or temporary capacity, on behalf of the Operator

1.11

FIRST TIMER RUNNER RULE

shall mean that if a horse that has not raced before, wins a Leg, the first horse to finish of those in that Leg that have raced before shall also qualify as a winner on selected bets except in instances where the pool is offered on races or Events held outside the Republic of South Africa, in which case this first timer Rule shall not apply, or unless otherwise specified

GROSS POOL

shall mean the total money received in respect of a betting pool

1.13

HOST JURISDICTION

shall mean the jurisdiction where the commingled betting pools are hosted on an Event

1.14

LEG

shall mean each nominated race or Event in those forms of betting where selections are required in more than one race or Event. Each nominated race or Event is termed a Leg. The first of the nominated races or Events to be run is the 1st Leg. The second of the nominated races or Events to be run is the 2nd Leg and so on, depending on the number of races or Events incorporated in a particular bet type

1.15

MINOR

shall mean a person under the age of eighteen years

1.16

MYSTERY BET

shall mean a single entry bet and the selection will be randomly chosen by the betting system.

1.17

NHA

shall mean the National Horseracing Authority which is an association consisting of representatives of the horseracing industry tasked with the supervision or officiation of the physical horseracing Events

1.18

NET POOL

shall mean the Gross Pool less Statutory or permissible Deductions

1.19

OFFICIAL

shall mean a person acting as such, whether in a permanent or temporary capacity, on behalf of the Operator

1.20

OFFICIAL RESULT

shall mean the official announcement and publication of the Official Results or outcome of the Event signalling the Dividend to be paid in terms thereof. This includes any rectified or amended result by the Operator post initial announcement and publication

1.21

OPERATOR

shall mean a company or other entity, including its subsidiaries or lawful agents whether a Club or otherwise, licensed to conduct a totalisator betting system

1.22

RACE/EVENT CARD

shall mean the official card issued by the Operator for a specific race meeting, race meetings or Event, listing the participants and other relevant information relating to the Event

1.23

RESERVE RUNNER

shall mean that horse that has been Carded in the official Race Card as a replacement horse for any horse, which may be scratched from such race before a particular time. This horse retains its Carded number and forms part of the Carded field

1.24

RULES

shall mean the Operational Betting Rules: Totalisator herein contained, as amended from time to time hereafter

1.25

RUNNER

shall mean a horse or participant in a race or Event, which has not been withdrawn before or after the start of such race or Event

1.26

SPOT PRICE

shall mean the price of a commodity, a security or a currency that is quoted for immediate (spot) settlement (payment and delivery

1.27

STEWARD

shall mean a person employed by or acting on behalf of NHA

1.28

TICKET ISSUED

shall mean an official betting Ticket issued subject to the provisions of these rules

1.29

TOTE FAVOURITE

shall mean the individual horse on which the greatest number of win units has been taken. Should two or more horses have exactly the same number of units wagered on them, Joint Favourites shall be declared

1.30

TRADING WEEK

shall mean the trading week for purposes of these rules is the five (5) week-day period commencing at 9am on a Monday and closing at 6pm on a Friday, during which trading takes place on the JSE or any period determined by the JSE

1.31

VALID TICKET

No Ticket shall be valid unless it is issued from an operative terminal on official Ticket paper and contains the following minimum information relating to the venue, Event, selection, bet type, amount staked, date and Ticket number

1.32

VALID TICKET HOLDER

is the person who presents a valid Ticket for payment

2.24.1All telephone, on-line, GPRS and other technology facilitated betting transactions are subject to these Rules as amended from time to time.

2.24.2A Customer must have an active account with the Operator in order to transact through telephone, on-line, GPRS and other technology facilitated betting wagering systems.

2.24.3Calling of Bets

2.24.3.1After the placing of a bet through a telephone, the Operator or consultant shall orally confirm what he has keyed in and obtained authority from the Customer to transmit the bet to the system.

2.24.3.2If the Customer does not query or rectify the oral confirmation of the bet he is deemed to have accepted the details as called back by the Operator or consultant as being correct and becomes bound by the call back.

2.24.4Alteration of Bets

No bets may be altered after they have been accepted.

2.24.5Dividends

Dividends shall be credited to the Customer’s account with the Operator as soon as possible after being declared "Official".

2.24.6Refunds

Refunds in respect of scratchings are credited to the Customer’s account by the Operator at the same time as Dividends are paid.

2.24.7Communication Failure-Waiver of Claims

The Customer shall not have any claim of any nature against Operator and/or any of its employees arising from a failure to accept his/her bets because of delays caused by a breakdown in the telephone system and/or other telecommunication system for whatever reason.

2.24.8System Unavailable

Bets can only be accepted whilst the approved wagering system is operative.

2.24.9Recording Equipment and Waiver of Rights

2.24.9.1For the protection of the Customers all telephone transactions shall be recorded.

2.24.9.2The recording shall be retained for a minimum period of 14 days following the Race or Event, before being erased. In the Event of a dispute being lodged, the Operator shall retain the recordings until the dispute has been resolved.

2.24.9.3Disputes regarding account balances and betting transactions must be made in writing within 14 days of the Race or Event concerned. The Customer shall not have a claim once this period has elapsed and the dispute has not been raised.

2.24.10Security

2.24.10.1The Customer’s security or personal identification code must prevent unauthorised use of his account and must not be divulged to other parties.

2.24.10.2The Customer shall immediately notify the Operator should he lose his account details.

2.24.10.3No betting transaction or withdrawal from an account is permitted unless the Customer provides his security or personal identification code or any detail required by the Operator for verification purposes.

2.24.11Unauthorised Use of Account

The Operator shall not be liable for any loss incurred by a Customer due to the unauthorised use of his account.

2.24.12Termination of Account

The Operator shall be entitled to terminate the Operator contract or account with immediate effect at its sole discretion. The Customer shall not have any claim of whatsoever nature against Operator arising out of the lawful cancellation of such contract or account other than to claim a refund of the money outstanding to the credit of his account.

5.3.1PURPOSE:

The purpose is to select a horse placed first, second, third or fourth in a specified Race, subject to the provisions of Rule 5.3.3.3.

5.3.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

5.3.3PLACE BETTING:

Whenever there are:

5.3.3.1eight to fifteen runners, Dividends shall be paid in respect of the horses placed first, second and third;

5.3.3.2sixteen or more runners, Dividends shall be paid in respect of the horses placed first, second, third and fourth; and

5.3.3.3the Operators may offer place pools in races with less or more runners than specified 5.2.4.1 and 5.3.4.2 above. For instance, a place pool may be offered on races with six or seven runners, where Dividends will be paid in respect of the horses placed first and second or offer Dividends for more than four places in selected Races or Events.

5.3.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

The Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are placed horses in terms of Rule 5.3.3. The portions shall be divided respectively by the number of unit bets on each of the placed horses and the results so obtained shall be the Dividend payable subject to the provisions of Rule 5.3.5.

5.3.5 DEAD HEAT:

5.3.5.1For the purpose of the calculation of Dividends, horses dead heating for first place shall be deemed to have filled the first and second places, horses dead heating for second place to have filled the second and third places, horses dead heating for third to have filled third and fourth places and horses dead heating for fourth to have filled fourth place jointly.

5.3.5.2Whenever a dead heat between two horses results in the payment of more place Dividends than is provided for in Rule 5.3.3, the Dividends payable shall be calculated as follows:

5.3.5.2.1the Net Pool shall be divided into so many equal portions as, but for the dead heat, there would have been places in terms of Rule 5.3.3;

5.3.5.2.2the Dividends on the horses not involved in the dead heat shall be calculated as provided for in Rule 5.3.4; and

5.3.5.2.3the remaining portion shall be divided into two equal parts, which shall respectively be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the horses in the dead heat.

5.3.5.3Should there be three horses in a dead heat, the Dividends payable in respect of the dead heating horses shall be calculated as provided for in Rule 5.3.5.2, save that the money available for distribution among holders of Tickets on the dead heating horses shall be divided into three equal parts.

5.3.6CARRY FORWARD:

In the Event of there being no Ticket on any of the placed horses, the Net Pool shall be carried forward and added to a net pool selected at the sole discretion of the Operator’s Management, provided that such carry forward is made within 12 months of the original pool

5.1PURPOSE: 
The purpose of the swinger is to select any two horses finishing in the first three places irrespective of the order in which they finish in a race designated in the official Race Card as a Swinger pool race.
5.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: 
Refer to Chapter 4.
5.3BRACKETING OF HORSES: 
The bracketing of horses shall not apply to this pool.
5.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDENDS: 
The Net Pool shall be divided into equal parts and the parts respectively divided by the number of unit bets on any two of the first three horses, namely:
5.4.1the first and second placed horses or;
5.4.2the first and third placed horses or;
5.4.3the second and third placed horses.
5.5DEAD HEAT:
5.5.1For the purpose of the calculation of Dividends in the case of a dead heat:
5.5.1.1between two horses for the first place, they shall be deemed to have filled first and second places;
5.5.1.2between three horses for the first place, they shall be deemed to have filled first, second and third places; and
5.5.1.3between two horses for second place, they shall be deemed to have filled second and third places.
5.5.2Where three horses dead heat for second place the winning combinations shall be the first horse coupled with any one of the dead heaters and a coupling of any two of the dead heaters.
5.5.3Where there is a dead heat between two or more horses for third place the winning combinations shall be the first horse coupled with the second horse, the first horse coupled with any one of the dead heaters and the second horse coupled with any one of the dead heaters.
5.5.4Notwithstanding the provisions of Rule 5.5.4, whenever Rule 5.5.5.2 applies, the Dividends shall be calculated by dividing the Net Pool into as many parts as there are winning combinations and the parts respectively by the number of unit bets on each such combination.
5.5.5Notwithstanding the provisions of Rule 5.5.4, whenever Rule 5.5.5.3 applies, the Dividends shall be calculated in the following manner:
5.5.5.1one third of the Net Pool shall be divided by the number of unit bets on the first and second placed horses; and
5.5.5.2the balance of the Net Pool shall be divided into as many parts as there are winning combinations and the parts respectively by the number of unit bets on each such combination.
5.6REDUCTION OF RUNNERS:
5.6.1In the Event of a designated swinger pool race being reduced to only 4 or 5 runners, Dividends shall be paid in respect of horses placed FIRST and SECOND only, irrespective of the order in which they finish.
5.6.2In the Event of a designated swinger pool race being reduced to less than 4 runners, the swinger pool shall be abandoned and refunded to Customers.
5.7CARRY FORWARD: 
In the Event of there being no Ticket on the winning combinations, the Net Pool shall be carried forward and added to a net pool selected at the sole discretion of the Operator’s Management, provided that such carry forward is made within 12 months of the original pool.

5.6.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the double is to select the first horse in each of the Legs, as defined in Rule 1.13, constituting the double and shall operate on any two races designated in the official Race Card as a double pool.

5.6.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

5.6.3BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply.

5.6.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDENDS:

The Dividend shall be calculated by dividing the Net Pool by the number of unit bets on the winning combinations.

5.6.5DEAD HEAT:

In the Event of two or more horses dead heating for first place in either Leg, the Net Pool shall be divided into as many parts as there are dead heaters and the parts respectively divided by the number of unit bets selecting any dead heater with the horse placed first in the other Leg. Provided that should any horse in a dead heat not be selected with the winning horse in the other Leg, that portion of the Net Pool shall be carried forward and dealt with in terms of Rule 5.5.8.

5.6.6ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:

Where for any reason the 1st Leg of the Double is abandoned or cancelled, the pool shall be refunded and where the 2nd Leg is abandoned after the running of the 1st Leg, the Net Pool shall be distributed to:

5.6.6.1holders of Tickets bearing the number of the winner of the first Leg; and

5.6.6.2in the Event of a dead heat for the first place the Net Pool shall be divided into as many parts as there are dead heaters and each part shall be distributed among the holders of Tickets bearing the number of one of the dead heaters respectively.

5.6.7SCRATCHINGS:

5.6.7.1Where a horse is withdrawn from the first Leg of a double or from the second Leg prior to the running of the first Leg, the horse shall be deemed to be scratched and the holder of any Ticket on which such horse has been selected shall receive a refund on all combinations affected by the scratching.

5.6.7.2Where a horse is withdrawn from the second Leg of a double after the first Leg has been decided; the horse shall be deemed to be scratched and shall be substituted with the Tote Favourite only on double Tickets bearing the number of the winner in the first Leg and the number of the scratched horse in the second Leg.

5.6.7.3In the Event of joint totalisator favourites being declared in a particular Race, a scratched horse to be substituted by the totalisator favourite in terms of Rule 5.6.7.2 shall be substituted with the joint totalisator favourite, which is highest placed in the order of finishing of that Race.

5.6.7.4In the Event of joint totalisator favourites dead heating for 1st place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of Rule 5.6.7.2 shall be substituted with the joint totalisator favourite bearing the lower Race Card number.

5.6.8CARRY FORWARD:

In the Event of there being no Ticket on any of the winning combinations, the Net Pool shall be carried forward and added to a net pool selected at the sole discretion of the Operator’s Management, provided that such carry forward is made within 12 months of the original pool.

5.7.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Trifecta is to select three horses to finish first, second and third in that order in a Race designated in the official Race Card as a Trifecta Pool race and shall operate where there are three or more Runners.

5.7.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

5.7.3BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply to this pool.

5.7.4TYPES OF ENTRY:

There shall be 5 types of entry, namely:

5.7.4.1a single entry where only 3 horses must be selected to finish in the exact order of selection;

5.7.4.2a BOX entry where three or more horses may be selected to finish in the first three positions, irrespective of their order;

5.7.4.3a Single Floating Banker Entry where one horse must be selected to run either first, second or third with three or more horses selected to fill the remaining two positions;

5.7.4.4a Double Floating Banker Entry where two horses must be selected to fill any two of the first three positions with two or more horses selected to fill the remaining position; and

5.7.4.5a Multiple Entry where one or more horses must be selected for each of the first three positions.

5.7.5CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

5.7.5.1The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit and fractional unit bets on the winning combination/s.

5.7.5.2In the Event that there are no full unit winning bets on a Trifecta pool, and at the same time, the sum of the percentage of bets purchased of all fractional winners is less than 100% of the unit of betting, then the Dividend shall be determined for a full unit of betting and the balance of the Dividend, i.e. not apportioned to the fractional winners, shall be either carried over in terms of Rule 5.7.9 or apportioned in terms of Rule 5.7.6.2.

5.7.6DEAD HEAT:

Notwithstanding the provisions of Rule 5.7.5, whenever two or more horses dead heat, the Dividend payable shall be calculated in the following manner:

5.7.6.1in the Event of a dead heat resulting in more than one winning combination, the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are winning combination and each such portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the combinations.

5.7.6.2In the Event of a dead heat for the First place between two horses they shall be deemed to have run First and Second, Second and First. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more horses dead heat for First place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

5.7.6.3In the Event of a dead heat for Second place between two horses they shall be deemed to have run Second and Third, Third and Second. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more horses dead heat for Second place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

5.7.6.4In the Event of two or more horses dead heating for Third place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are dead heaters.

5.7.6.5Should there be no unit bets on one or more of the winning combinations as provided for under Rule 5.7.6.1 that portion of the Net Pool shall be carried forward and dealt with in terms of 5.7.9

5.7.7LESS THAN THREE RUNNERS FINISHING:

In the Event of three or more horses starting a race and less than three horses finishing the race for any reason whatsoever, a Dividend shall be declared on the first and second placed horses with the field as the third place, or if only one horse finishes, a Dividend shall be declared on that horse with the field for second place and the field for third place.

5.7.8REFUNDS:

5.7.8.1In the Event of a selected horse being scratched, a refund of the money wagered, relating to that horse shall be made.

5.7.8.2In the Event of a Trifecta pool race being cancelled or abandoned for any reason whatsoever a full refund shall be made.

5.7.9CARRY FORWARD:

5.8.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Quartet is to select four horses to finish first, second, third and fourth in that order in a Race designated in the official Race Card as a Quartet Pool race and shall operate where there are four or more Runners.

5.8.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

5.8.3BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply to this pool.

5.8.4TYPES OF ENTRY:

There shall be 6 types of entry, namely:

5.8.4.1a Single Entry where only 4 horses must be selected to finish in the exact order of selection;

5.8.4.2a BOX Entry where four or more horses may be selected to finish in the first four positions, irrespective of their order;

5.8.4.3a Single Floating Banker Entry where one horse must be selected to run either first, second, third or fourth with four or more horses selected to fill the remaining three positions;

5.8.4.4a Double Floating Banker Entry where two horses must be selected to fill any two of the first four positions with three or more horses selected to fill the remaining two positions;

5.8.4.5a Triple Floating Banker Entry where three horses must be selected to fill any three of the first four positions with two or more horses selected to fill the remaining position; and

5.8.4.6a Multiple Entry where one or more horses must be selected for each of the first four positions.

5.8.5CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

5.8.5.1The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit and fractional unit bets on the winning combination/s.

5.8.5.2In the Event that there are no full unit winning bets on a Quartet pool, and at the same time, the sum of the percentage of bets purchased of all fractional winners is less than 100% of the unit of betting, then the Dividend shall be determined for a full unit of betting and the balance of the Dividend, i.e. not apportioned to the fractional winners, shall be either carried over in terms of Rule 5.8.9 or apportioned in terms of Rule 5.8.6.21

5.8.6DEAD HEAT:

Notwithstanding the provisions of Rule 5.8.5, whenever two or more horses dead heat the Dividend payable shall be calculated in the following manner:

5.8.6.1In the Event of a dead heat resulting in more than one winning combination, the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are winning combinations, and each such portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the combinations.

5.8.6.2In the Event of a dead heat for the First place between two horses they shall be deemed to have run First and Second, Second and First. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more horses dead heat for First place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

5.8.6.3In the Event of a dead heat for Second place between two horses they shall be deemed to have run Second and Third, Third and Second. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more horse dead heat for Second place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

5.8.6.4In the Event of two or more horses dead heating for Third place they shall be deemed to have run Third and Fourth, Fourth and Third. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more horses dead heat for Third place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

5.8.6.5In the Event of two or more horses dead heating for Fourth place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are dead heaters.

5.8.6.6Should there be no unit bets on one or more of the winning combinations as provided for under Rule 5.8.6.1 that portion of the Net Pool shall be carried forward and dealt with in terms of Rule 5.8.9.

5.8.7LESS THAN FOUR RUNNERS FINISHING:

In the Event of four or more horses starting a Race and less than four horses finishing the Race for any reason whatsoever, a Dividend shall be declared on the placed horses completing the Race with the field in the other unfilled position/s.

5.8.8REFUNDS:

5.8.8.1In the Event of a selected horse being scratched a refund of the money wagered, relating to that horse shall be made.

5.8.8.2In the Event of a Quartet pool race being cancelled or abandoned for any reason whatsoever a full refund shall be made.

5.8.9CARRY FORWARD:

5.9.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Pick 3 is to select the winners of each of the Legs constituting a Pick 3 as designated in the official Race Card.

5.9.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

5.9.3BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply to a Pick 3.

5.9.4RESERVE RUNNER:

The Carded number of any Reserve Runner replacing a scratched horse remains unaltered and consequently field selections should include all horses Carded. Rule 5.9.5 applies to scratchings.

5.9.5SCRATCHINGS:

5.9.5.1If any horse is scratched from any Leg the holder of any Ticket on which such horse has been selected, shall be deemed to have selected the totalisator favourite in such Leg.

5.9.5.2No refunds shall be given in respect of scratched horses.

5.9.5.3In the Event of joint totalisator favourites being declared in a particular Race, a scratched horse to be substituted by the Totalisator Favourite in terms of Rule 5.9.5.1 shall be substituted with the joint totalisator favourite, which is highest placed in the order of finishing of that Race.

5.9.5.4In the Event of joint totalisator favourites dead heating for first place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of Rule 5.9.5.1 shall be substituted with the joint totalisator favourite bearing the lower Race Card number.

5.9.6CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit bets on the winning combination/s.

5.9.7ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:

5.9.7.1Subject to Rule 5.9.8, if for any reason whatsoever a Pick 3 race is abandoned or cancelled, the Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the number of unit bets on the winning combinations in the Legs of the Pick 3 which were duly decided provided that if there is no unit bet on the winning combinations, the provisions of Rule 5.9.10 shall apply.

5.9.7.2All selections in any abandoned or cancelled Legs shall be deemed to be winning selections.

5.9.8REFUNDS:

No refunds shall be made in respect of any Pick 3 Ticket, except in instances where a race meeting is cancelled or abandoned, or if only one (1) Race constituting that Pick 3 is completed. No refunds shall be made in respect of any pool carried forward.

5.9.9DEAD HEAT:

5.9.9.1In the Event of a dead heat between two or more horses in any Leg for the first place in a Pick 3 Pool resulting in more than one winning combination, the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are winning combinations, and each such portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the combinations.

5.9.9.2Should there be no unit bets on one or more of the winning combinations as provided for under Rule 5.8.9.1 that portion of the Net Pool shall be carried forward and dealt with in terms of Rule 5.9.10.

5.9.10CARRY FORWARD:

5.10.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Pick 4 (Jackpot) is to select the winners of each of the Legs constituting the Pick 4 (jackpot) as designated in the official Race Card.

5.10.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

5.10.3BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply to the Pick 4 (Jackpot) Pool, unless otherwise specified.

5.10.4FIRST TIMER RULE:

The First Timer Rule shall not apply to the Pick 4 (Jackpot), unless otherwise specified.

5.10.5RESERVE RUNNER:

The Carded number of any Reserve Runner replacing a scratched horse remains unaltered and consequently field selections should include all horses Carded.

5.10.6SCRATCHINGS:

5.10.6.1If any horse is scratched from any Leg the holder of any Ticket on which such horse has been selected, shall be deemed to have selected the Totalisator Favourite in such Leg.

5.10.6.2No refunds shall be given in respect of scratched horses.

5.10.6.3In the Event of joint totalisator favourites being declared in a particular Race, a scratched horse to be substituted by the Totalisator Favourite in terms of Rule 5.10.6.1 shall be substituted with the joint totalisator favourite, which is highest placed in the order of finishing of that race.

5.10.6.4In the Event of joint totalisator favourites dead heating for first place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of Rule 5.9.6.1 shall be substituted with the joint totalisator favourite bearing the lower Race Card number.

5.10.7CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

5.10.7.1The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit and fractional unit bets on the winning combination/s.

5.10.7.2In the Event that there are no full unit winning bets on a Pick 4 (jackpot) pool, and at the same time, the sum of the percentage of bets purchased of all fractional winners is less than 100% of the unit of betting, then the Dividend shall be determined for a full unit of betting and the balance of the Dividend, i.e. not apportioned to the fractional winners, shall be carried over in terms of Rule 5.10.11 or apportioned in terms of Rule 5.10.10.3.

5.10.8ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:

5.10.8.1Subject to Rule 5.10.9, if for any reason whatsoever a Pick 4 (jackpot) race is abandoned or cancelled the Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the number of unit bets on the winning combinations in the Legs of the Pick 4 (jackpot) which were duly decided provided that if there is no unit bet on the winning combinations, read in conjunction with Rule 5.10.7.2, the provisions of Rule 5.10.11 shall apply.

5.10.8.2All selections in any abandoned or cancelled Legs shall be deemed to be winning selections.

5.10.9REFUNDS:

No refunds shall be made in respect of any Pick 4 (jackpot) Ticket, except in instances where a race meeting is cancelled or abandoned or if only one (1) Race constituting that Pick 4 (jackpot) has been completed. No refunds shall be made in respect of any pool carried forward.

5.10.10DEAD HEAT:

5.10.10.1In the Event of a dead heat between two or more horses in any Leg for the first place in the Pick 4 (jackpot) Pool resulting in more than one winning combination, the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are winning combinations, and each such portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the combinations.

5.10.10.2In the Event of a dead heat between two or more bracketed horses and another horse in any Leg for the first place in the Pick 4 (jackpot) pool resulting in more than one winning combination, the Net Pool shall be divided into as many portions as there are winning combinations resulting from the number of dead heating horses. The portions of the Net Pool pertaining to the bracketed horses shall then be combined and a Dividend for the total number of Tickets on the bracketed horses shall be declared.

5.10.10.3Should there be no unit bets on one or more of the winning combinations as provided for under Rule 5.10.10.1 that portion of the Net Pool shall be carried forward and dealt with in terms of Rule 5.10.11.

5.10.11CARRY FORWARD:

In the Event of there being no Ticket on any of the winning combinations, the Net Pool shall be carried forward and added to a net pool selected at the sole discretion of Operator Management, provided that such carry forward is made within 12 months of the original pool.

5.11.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Pick 6 is to select the winners of each of the Legs constituting the Pick 6, as designated in the official Race Card.

5.11.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

5.11.3BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply to the Pick 6 Pool, unless otherwise specified.

5.11.4FIRST TIMER RULE:

The First Timer Rule shall apply to the Pick 6 unless otherwise specified.

5.11.5RESERVE RUNNER:

The Carded number of any Reserve Runner replacing a scratched horse remains unaltered and consequently field selections should include all horses Carded. Rule 2.3 applies in regard to bracketed horses and Rule 5.11.6 applies to scratchings.

5.11.6SCRATCHINGS:

5.11.6.1If any horse is scratched from any Leg the holder of any Ticket on which such horse has been selected, shall be deemed to have selected the Totalisator Favourite in such Leg. Provided further that in the Event of one or more horses within a bracket being scratched from any Leg, the holder of any Ticket on which such horse/s has/have been selected, shall be deemed to have selected the highest placed horse in the order of finish in such Leg of either:

5.11.6.1.1the Totalisator Favourite; or

5.11.6.1.2the remaining horse/s within the bracket.

5.11.6.2No refunds shall be given in respect of scratched horses.

5.11.6.3In Pick 6 betting, if a horse in a bracket is the Totalisator Favourite, as determined in Rule 1.27, all the horses within the bracket shall be deemed to be the Totalisator Favourite for the purpose of determining the substitution, in the Event of a scratching.

5.11.6.4In the Event of joint Totalisator Favourites being declared in a particular Race, a scratched horse to be substituted by the Totalisator Favourite in terms of Rule 5.11.6.1.1 shall be substituted with the joint Totalisator Favourite, which is highest placed in the order of finishing of that Race.

5.11.6.5In the Event of joint Totalisator Favourites dead heating for first place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of Rule 5.11.6.1.1 shall be substituted with the joint Totalisator Favourite bearing the lower Race Card number.

5.11.6.6In the Event of the Totalisator Favourite and a horse within a bracket dead heating for first place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of Rule 5.11.6.1.1 shall be substituted with the horse within that bracket.

5.11.7CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

5.11.7.1The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit and fractional unit bets on the winning combination/s. The Operator may set aside a percentage of the Net Pool to be paid as a consolation Dividend for entries with any five winners as stipulated in the official race/Event Card.

5.11.7.2In the Event that there are no full unit winning bets on a Pick 6 pool, and at the same time, the sum of the percentage of bets purchased of all fractional winners is less than 100% of the unit of betting, then the Dividend shall be determined for a full unit of betting and the balance of the Dividend, i.e. not apportioned to the fractional winners, shall be carried over in terms of Rule 5.11.11 or apportioned in terms of Rule 5.10.10.1

5.11.8 ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:

5.11.8.1Subject to Rule 5.11.9, if, for any reason whatsoever, a Pick 6 race is abandoned or cancelled, the Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the number of unit bets on the winning combinations in the Legs of the Pick 6 which were duly decided, provided that if there is no unit bet on the winning combinations, read in conjunction with Rule 5.11.7.2, the provision of Rule 5.11.11 shall apply.

5.11.8.2All selections in any abandoned or cancelled Legs shall be deemed to be winning selections.

5.11.9REFUNDS:

No refunds shall be made in respect of any Pick 6 Ticket, except in instances where a race meeting is cancelled or abandoned, or if only one (1) Race constituting that Pick 6 pool has been completed. No refund shall be made in respect of any pool carried forward.

5.11.10DEAD HEAT:

5.11.10.1In the Event of a dead heat between two or more horses in any Leg for the first place in the pick 6 Pool resulting in more than one winning combination, the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are winning combinations, and each such portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the combinations. If, however, the dead heat for first place is between two or more first-timers, or one or more first-timers and a horse/s to have raced before, the Net Pool will not be divided and all horses involved in the dead heat will qualify as winners in a single pool, as well as any horse qualifying as a result of the FIRST-TIMER rule.

5.11.10.2Should there be no unit bets on one or more of the winning combinations as provided for under Rule 5.11.10.1 that portion of the Net Pool shall be carried forward and dealt with in terms of Rule 5.11.11.

5.11.11CARRY FORWARD: In the Event of there being no Ticket on any of the winning combinations, the Net Pool shall be accumulated in a carryover stockpile and added to a selected pool at the sole discretion of the operators, regardless of the meeting/s from which the Carryover originated and provided that such carry forwards are made within 12 months of the original pool. The operators reserve the right to vary this policy from time to time and utilise monies in the stockpile to create Carryovers to other bet-type pools.

12.1PURPOSE: 
The purpose of the Pick 7 is to select the winners of each of the Legs constituting the Pick 7, as designated in the official Race Card.
12.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: 
Refer to Chapter 4.
12.3BRACKETING OF HORSES: 
The bracketing of horses shall not apply to the Pick 7 pool, unless otherwise specified.
12.4FIRST TIMER RULE: The First Timer Rule shall not apply to the Pick 7, unless otherwise specified.

12.6.4In the Event of joint Totalisator Favourites being declared in a particular Race, a scratched horse to be substituted by the Totalisator Favourite in terms of Rule 5.12.6.1 shall be substituted with the joint Totalisator Favourite, which is highest placed in the order of finishing of that Race.
12.6.5In the Event of joint Totalisator Favourites dead heating for first place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of Rule 5.12.6.1 shall be substituted with the joint Totalisator Favourite bearing the lower Race Card number.
12.6.6In the Event of the totalisator favourite and a horse within a bracket dead heating for first place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of 5.11.6.1 shall be substituted with the horse within that bracket.
12.7CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:
12.7.1The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit and fractional unit bets on the winning combination/s. The Operator may set aside a percentage of the Net Pool to be paid as a consolation Dividend for entries with any six winners as stipulated in the official race/Event card.
12.7.2In the Event that there are no full unit winning bets on a Pick 7 pool, and at the same time, the sum of the percentage of bets purchased of all fractional winners is less than 100% of the unit of betting, then the Dividend shall be determined for a full unit of betting and the balance of the Dividend, i.e. not apportioned to the fractional winners, shall be carried over in terms of Rule 5.12.11 or apportioned in terms of Rule 5.12.10.3.
12.8ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:

5.13.5.1If any horse is scratched from any Leg the holder of any Ticket on which such horse has been selected, shall be deemed to have selected the Totalisator Favourite in such Leg. Provided further that in the Event of one or more horses within a bracket being scratched from any Leg, the holder of any Ticket on which such horse/s has/have been selected, shall be deemed to have selected the highest placed horse in the order of finish in such Leg of either:

5.13.5.1.1the Totalisator Favourite; or

5.13.5.1.2the remaining horse/s within the bracket.

5.13.5.2No refunds shall be given in respect of scratched horses.

5.13.5.3In Pick 8 betting, if a horse in a bracket is the Tote Favourite, as determined in Rule 1.29, all the horses within the bracket shall be deemed to be the tote favourite for the purpose of determining the substitution, in the Event of a scratching.

5.13.5.4In the Event of joint Totalisator Favourites being declared in a particular Race, a scratched horse to be substituted by the Totalisator Favourite in terms of Rule 5.13.6.1 shall be substituted with the joint Totalisator Favourite, which is highest placed in the order of finishing of that Race.

5.13.5.5In the Event of joint Totalisator Favourites dead heating for first place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of Rule 5.13.6.1 shall be substituted with the joint Totalisator Favourite bearing the lower Race Card number.

5.13.5.6In the Event of the Totalisator Favourite and a horse within a bracket dead heating for first place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of Rule 5.13.6.1 shall be substituted with the horse within that bracket.

5.13.6CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

5.13.6.1The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit and fractional unit bets on the winning combination/s. The Operator may set aside a percentage of the Net Pool to be paid as a consolation Dividend for entries with any seven winners and as a consolation Dividend for any six winners as stipulated in the official Race/Event Card.

5.13.6.2In the Event that there are no full unit winning bets on a Pick 8 pool, and at the same time, the sum of the percentage of bets purchased of all fractional winners is less than 100% of the unit of betting, then the Dividend shall be determined for a full unit of betting and the balance of the Dividend, i.e. not apportioned to the fractional winners, shall be carried over in terms of Rule 5.12.10 or apportioned in terms of Rule 5.12.9.1

5.13.7ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:

Subject to Rule 5.13.98, if, for any reason whatsoever, a Pick 8 race is abandoned or cancelled, the Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the number of unit bets on the winning combinations in the Legs of the Pick 8 which were duly decided provided that if there is no unit bet on the winning combinations, read in conjunction with Rule 5.12.6, the provision of Rule 5.12.10 shall apply. All selections in any abandoned or cancelled Legs shall be deemed to be winning selections.

5.13.8REFUNDS:

No refunds shall be made in respect of any Pick 8 Ticket, except in instances where a race meeting is cancelled or abandoned, or if only one (1) Race constituting that Pick 8 pool is completed. No refund shall be made in respect of any pool carried forward.

5.13.9DEAD HEAT:

The portions of the Net Pool pertaining to the bracketed horses shall then be combined and a Dividend for the total number of Tickets on the bracketed horses shall be declared.

5.13.9.3Should there be no unit bets on one or more of the winning combinations as provided for under Rule 5.12.6 that portion of the Net Pool shall be carried forward and dealt with in terms of Rule 5.12.10.

5.13.10CARRY FORWARD:

5.14.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Pick 9 is to select the winners of each of the Legs constituting the Pick 9, as designated in the official Race Card.

5.14.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: The unit of betting is 10c (ten cents) per line. The minimum bet is R2 (two rand). There is no fractional betting of the Pick 9.

The bracketing of horses shall apply to the Pick 9 pool, unless otherwise specified.

5.14.4FIRST TIMER RULE: The First Time Runner Rule shall apply to the Pick 9 pool, unless otherwise specified.

5.14.6.6In the Event of the Totalisator Favourite and a horse within a bracket dead heating for first place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of Rule 5.14.6.1 shall be substituted with the horse within that bracket.

5.14.7CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

5.14.7.1The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit bets on the winning combination/s. The Operator will set aside 80% (eighty percent) of the Net Pool to be paid for entries with all of the correct winners and 20% (twenty percent) as a consolation dividend for entries with any 8 (eight) winners, as stipulated in the official Race/Event Card.

5.14.8MUST-BE-WON POOLS

The Operator reserves the right to advertise “Must-Be-Won” pools. The dividend calculation will be as rule 5.13.7 above except where there are no 9 out of 9 winners that portion of the pool will be added to the remaining 20% of the pool and distributed amongst the tickets containing the highest winning combinations.

5.14.9ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:

Subject to Rule 5.13.10, if, for any reason whatsoever, a Pick 9 Race is abandoned or cancelled, the Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the number of unit bets on the winning combinations in the Legs of the Pick 9 which were duly decided provided that if there is no unit bet on the winning combinations, the provision of Rule 5.14.12 shall apply. All selections in any abandoned or cancelled Legs shall be deemed to be winning selections.

5.14.10REFUNDS:

No refunds shall be made in respect of any Pick 9 Ticket, except in instances where a race meeting is cancelled or abandoned, or if only one (1) Race constituting that Pick 9 pool, including Must-Be-Won pools, is completed. No refund shall be made in respect of any pool carried forward.

5.14.11DEAD HEAT:

5.14.11.1In the Event of a dead heat between two or more horses in any Leg for the first place in the Pick 9 Pool resulting in more than one winning combination, the 9-out-of-9 winners portion of the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are winning combinations, and each such portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the combinations.

5.14.11.2In the Event of a dead heat between two or more bracketed horses and another horse in any Leg for the first place in the Pick 9 pool resulting in more than one winning combination, the 9-out-of-9 winners portion of the Net Pool shall be divided into as many portions as there are winning combinations resulting from the number of dead heating horses. The portions of the Net Pool pertaining to the bracketed horses shall then be combined and a Dividend for the total number of Tickets on the bracketed horses shall be declared. The any 8 (eight) winners consolation portion of the Net Pool shall not be split in the event of a dead heat and one common dividend will be declared.

5.14.11.3Should there be no unit bets on one or more of the winning combinations as provided for under Rule 5.14.11.1 that portion of the Net Pool shall be carried forward and dealt with in terms of Rule 5.14.12.

5.14.12CARRY FORWARD:

5.15.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Pick 10 is to select the winners of each of the Legs constituting the Pick 10, as designated in the official Race Card.

5.15.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: The unit of betting is 10c (ten cents) per line. The minimum bet is R2 (two rand). There is no fractional betting of the Pick 10.

5.15.3BRACKETING OF HORSES: The bracketing of horses shall apply to the Pick 10 pool, unless otherwise specified.

5.15.4FIRST TIMER RULE: The First Time Runner Rule shall apply to the Pick 10 pool, unless otherwise specified.

5.15.6.1.1the Totalisator Favourite; or

5.15.6.1.2the remaining horse/s within the bracket.

5.15.6.2No refunds shall be given in respect of scratched horses.

5.15.6.3In Pick 10 betting, if a horse in a bracket is the Tote Favourite, as determined in Rule 1.29, all the horses within the bracket shall be deemed to be the Tote Favourite for the purpose of determining the substitution, in the Event of a scratching.

5.15.6.4In the Event of joint Totalisator Favourites being declared in a particular Race, a scratched horse to be substituted by the Totalisator Favourite in terms of Rule 5.15.6.1 shall be substituted with the joint Totalisator Favourite, which is highest placed in the order of finishing of that Race.

5.15.6.5In the Event of joint Totalisator Favourites dead heating for first place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of Rule 5.15.6.1 shall be substituted with the joint Totalisator Favourite bearing the lower race card number.

5.15.6.6In the Event of the Totalisator Favourite and a horse within a bracket dead heating for first place, a scratched horse to be substituted in terms of Rule 5.15.6.1 shall be substituted with the horse within that bracket.

5.15.7CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit bets on the winning combination/s. The Operator will set aside 80% (eighty percent) of the Net Pool to be paid for entries with all of the correct winners and 20% (twenty percent) as a consolation Dividend for entries with any 9 (nine) winners, as stipulated in the official Race/Event Card.

5.15.8MUST-BE-WON POOLS

The Operator reserves the right to advertise “Must-Be-Won” pools. The dividend calculation will be as rule 5.14.7 above except where there are no 10 out of 10 winners that portion of the pool will be added to the remaining 20% of the pool and distributed amongst the tickets containing the highest winning combinations.

5.15.9ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:

Subject to Rule 5.14.10, if, for any reason whatsoever, a Pick 10 race is abandoned or cancelled, the Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the number of unit bets on the winning combinations in the Legs of the Pick 10 which were duly decided provided that if there is no unit bet on the winning combinations, then the provision of Rule 5.14.12 shall apply. All selections in any abandoned or cancelled Legs shall be deemed to be winning selections.

5.15.10 REFUNDS:

No refunds shall be made in respect of any Pick 10 Ticket, except in instances where a race meeting is cancelled or abandoned, or if only one (1) Race constituting that Pick 10 pool, including Must-Be-Won pools, is completed. No refund shall be made in respect of any pool carried forward.

5.15.11DEAD HEAT:

5.15.11.1In the Event of a dead heat between two or more horses in any Leg for the first place in the Pick 10 Pool resulting in more than one winning combination, the 10-out-of-10 winners portion of the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are winning combinations, and each such portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the combinations.

5.15.11.2In the Event of a dead heat between two or more bracketed horses and another horse in any Leg for the first place in the Pick 10 pool resulting in more than one winning combination, the 10-out-of-10 winners’ portion of the Net Pool shall be divided into as many portions as there are winning combinations resulting from the number of dead heating horses. The portions of the Net Pool pertaining to the bracketed horses shall then be combined and a Dividend for the total number of Tickets on the bracketed horses shall be declared. The any 9 (nine) winners consolation portion of the Net Pool shall not be split in the event of a dead heat and one common dividend will be declared.

5.15.11.3Should there be no unit bets on one or more of the winning combinations as provided for under Rule 5.15.11.1, that portion of the Net Pool shall be carried forward and dealt with in terms of Rule 5.15.12.

5.15.12CARRY FORWARD:

5.16.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Place Accumulator is to select a placed horse placed first, second or third in each of the Legs constituting the Place Accumulator as designated in the official Race Card.

5.16.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

5.16.3BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply to the Place Accumulator pool.

5.16.4LIMITATION OF PLACE ACCUMULATOR BETTING:

The number of placed horses applicable to the Place Accumulator Pool shall be three, regardless of the number of Carded horses/Runners.

5.16.5RESERVE RUNNERS:

The Carded number of any Reserve Runner replacing a scratched horse remains unaltered and consequently field selections should include all horses Carded.

5.16.6SCRATCHINGS:

5.16.6.1If any horse is scratched from any Leg the holder of any Ticket on which such horse has been selected, shall be deemed to have selected the Tote Favourite in such Leg.

5.16.6.2No refunds shall be given in respect of scratched horses.

5.16.7CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

5.16.7.1The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit and fractional unit bets on the winning combination /s.

5.16.7.2In the Event that there are no full unit winning bets on a Place Accumulator pool, and at the same time, the sum of the percentage of bets purchased of all fractional winners is less than 100% of the unit of betting, then the Dividend shall be determined for a full unit of betting and the balance of the Dividend, i.e. not apportioned to the fractional winners, shall be carried over in terms of Rule 5.16.11.

5.16.7.3In the Event of less than three horses finishing the Race for any reason whatsoever, a Dividend shall be declared on the any number of horses finishing (whether one or two), as declared in the Official Result

5.16.8ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:

5.16.8.1Subject to Rule 5.16.9, if for any reason whatsoever a Place Accumulator Race is abandoned or cancelled, the Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the number of unit bets on the winning combinations in the Legs of the Place Accumulator which were duly decided provided that if there is no unit bet on the winning combinations, read in conjunction with Rule 5.16.7.2, the provisions of Rule 5.16.11 shall apply.

5.16.8.2All selections in any abandoned or cancelled Legs shall be deemed to be winning selections.

5.16.9REFUNDS:

No refunds shall be made in respect of any Place Accumulator Ticket, except in instances where a race meeting is cancelled or abandoned or if only one (1) Race constituting that Place Accumulator pool has been completed.

5.16.10DEAD HEAT:

In the Event of a dead heat between two or more horses for any place in the Place Accumulator, all such horses shall be deemed to have filled that place and following places within the ambit of Rule 5.16.4.

5.16.11CARRY FORWARD:

In the Event of there being no winning Ticket on a Place Accumulator Pool, the Net Pool shall be carried forward and added to a net pool selected at the sole discretion of Operator’s Management, provided that such carry forward is made within 12 months of the original pool.

17.1PURPOSE:
17.1.1The purpose of the All-To-Come bet is to select a Runner, which qualifies for a Dividend in respect of the pool in each of the Legs of the All-To-Come bet selected that is on one or more pools on several Races, and the selected bets are printed on a single Ticket.
17.1.2All-To-Come bets will apply to the WIN or PLACE pools and the general rules applicable to those pools shall apply to the All-To-Come betting.
17.1.3The pool type may not be common to all Legs of the All-To-Come bet and the bet shall consist of not less than two and not more than six Legs, which, may be from the same race meeting or different race meetings. All Legs must be selected in ascending order but need not be consecutive.
17.1.4If a selected Race is abandoned or a selected Runner is scratched, then the All-To-Come bet continues as if that Leg had not been selected and any reinvestments from the previous Leg, or Legs, shall be carried forward to the next selected Leg(s) if any remain. For a single Leg bet or the terminating Leg of an All-To-Come bet, the amount due for investment in that Leg, shall be paid as a Dividend.
17.1.5Proceeds are only invested once the results are made official. If for any reason there is a delay in the declaration of Official Results on a preceding Leg, and pools are closed for the current Leg, investments from the preceding Race will not invested in such Leg and will be invested on further Legs if applicable.
17.1.6The operators may prescribe the maximum reinvestment on any single or more selections, in which case any amount in excess of the prescribed limit shall be held back and treated as a Dividend due, regardless of the results of any subsequent Leg(s).
17.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: 
Refer to Chapter 4.
17.3CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND: 
The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the number of unit bets on the winning horse. All the selected Legs of an All-To-Come bet must have been run before any Dividends accruing to the bet will be paid.
17.4ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:
17.4.1Subject to Rule 5.17.5, if a selected Race is abandoned or a selected Runner is scratched, then the All-To-Come bet continues as if that Leg had not been selected and any reinvestments from the previous Leg, or Legs, shall be carried forward to the next selected Leg(s) if any remain. For a single Leg bet or the terminating Leg of an All-for-All bet, the amount due for investment in that Leg, shall be paid as a Dividend.
17.4.2If a selected Race is, for any reason, run out of the advertised sequence, the selection in such a Race will be treated as in Rule 5.17.4.1.
17.5REFUNDS: 
No refunds shall be made in respect of any All-To-Come Ticket, except in instances where a race meeting is cancelled or abandoned before the first Leg of the All-To-Come pool.

5.19.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the BiPot is to select a horse placed first or second in each of the 6 Legs or Races constituting the BiPot as designated in the official Race Card.

5.19.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

5.19.3BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply to the BiPot pool, unless otherwise stipulated.

5.19.4FIRST TIMER RULE: The First Time Runner Rule shall apply to the BiPot pool, unless otherwise specified.

5.19.5LIMITATION OF BIPOT BETTING: The number of placed horses applicable to the BiPot Pool shall be two, regardless of the number of Carded horses/Runners.

5.19.6RESERVE RUNNERS:

The Carded number of any Reserve Runner replacing a scratched horse remains unaltered and consequently field selections should include all horses Carded.

5.19.7SCRATCHINGS:

5.19.7.1If any horse is scratched from any Leg the holder of any Ticket on which such horse has been selected, shall be deemed to have selected the Tote Favourite in such Leg.

5.19.7.2No refunds shall be given in respect of scratched horses.

5.19.8CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

5.19.8.1The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit on the winning combination /s.

5.19.8.2In the Event of less than three horses finishing the Race for any reason whatsoever, a Dividend shall be declared on any number of horses finishing (whether one or two), as declared in the Official Result.

5.19.9ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:

5.19.9.1Subject to Rule 5.19.10, if for any reason whatsoever a BiPot race is abandoned or cancelled, the Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the number of unit bets on the winning combinations in the Legs of the BiPot which were duly decided provided that if there is no unit bet on the winning combinations, read in conjunction with, the provisions of Rule 5.19.12.

5.19.9.2All selections in any abandoned or cancelled Legs shall be deemed to be winning selections.

5.19.10REFUNDS:

No refunds shall be made in respect of any BiPot Ticket, except in instances where a race meeting is cancelled or abandoned, or if only one (1) Race constituting that BiPot pool is completed. No refunds shall be made in respect of any pool carried forward.

5.19.11DEAD HEAT:

In the Event of a dead heat between two or more horses for any place in the BiPot, all such horses shall be deemed to have filled that place and following places within the ambit of Rule 5.19.5.

5.19.12CARRY FORWARD:

In the Event of there being no winning Ticket on a BiPot Pool, the Net Pool shall be carried forward and added to a net pool selected at the sole discretion of the Operator’s Management, provided that such carry forward is made within 12 months of the original pool.

5.20.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Lucky 3 is for the betting system to select, on behalf of the punter, a Mystery Straight Line entry where three horses may be selected to finish in the first three positions, in exact order, in a race designated as a Lucky 3 Pool race and shall operate where there are three or more runners in the race. The selection will be based on either of:

5.20.1.1the carded barrier position (draw) assigned to each horse as displayed in the official racecard and other official horse racing publications; or

5.20.1.2the saddle cloth number assigned to each horse as displayed in the official racecard and other official horse racing publications.

5.20.1.3the Operator will stipulate which of the saddle cloth or barrier position will apply by of advertisement in the official race card and all racing publications.

5.20.1.4the results of this bet will be published on our website, under a separate heading “Lucky 3 Pool”. This will also be made available to all other outputs that display our results.

5.20.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

The cost of the Bet Type will be R2-00 (Two Rand) and fractional betting will not apply. The minimum bet amount will be R2-00 (Two Rand).

5.20.3BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply to this pool.

5.20.4TYPES OF ENTRY:

There shall only be a Lucky 3 mystery straight line bet available and the selections / numbers may not be selected by the customer.

5.20.5CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

100% of the net pool will be allocated for bets with the correct draw / barrier position / saddle cloth number, as the case may be, of the first 3 horses finishing in exact order. Should there not be a correct combination, then 100% of the net pool shall be carried forward to a selected Lucky 3 Pool at the Operator’s discretion.

5.20.6DEAD HEAT:

Whenever two or more horses dead heat, the Dividend payable shall be calculated in the following manner:

5.20.6.1In the Event of a dead heat resulting in more than one winning combination, the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are winning combinations and each such portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the combinations.

5.20.6.2In the Event of a dead heat for the First place between two horses they shall be deemed to have run First and Second, Second and First. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more horses dead heat for First place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

5.20.6.3In the Event of a dead heat for Second place between two horses they shall be deemed to have run Second and Third, Third and Second. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more horses dead heat for Second place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

5.20.6.4In the Event of two or more horses dead heating for Third place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are dead heaters.

5.20.6.5Should there be no unit bets on one or more of the winning combinations as provided for under this Rule, that portion of the Net Pool shall be carried forward and dealt with in terms of the Carryover rule.

5.20.7LESS THAN THREE RUNNERS FINISHING:

If there are less than three finishers in any Lucky 3 Pool race, a full refund of all bets will be made.

5.20.8REFUNDS:

In the event of a horse with one of the selected draws, or saddle cloths, as the case may be, being withdrawn a refund of the investment affected by the withdrawal will be made. In the event of a Lucky 3 Pool race being cancelled or abandoned for any reason whatsoever a full refund will be made.

5.20.9CARRY FORWARD:

Should there not be a correct combination of 3 horses finishing in exact order, 100% of the Net pool shall be carried forward to a selected pool at the Operator’s discretion to any net pool within 12 months of the original pool.

5.21.1PURPOSE:

TAB will select 3 horses per leg in 6 designated races. Select one or more, from the three horses provided by TAB, the horse that will finish ahead of the other two. The options will be either 1,2, or 3. These options may not necessarily match the official carded numbers of the runners selected for this bet type.

5.21.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

R1. No fractional betting will be permitted.

5.21.3RESULT:

The result will be as declared as per the finishing order of the three selected runners by TAB.

5.21.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

The dividend shall be determined by dividing the net pool by the total number of unit bets on the winning combination.

5.21.5DEAD HEAT:

5.21.5.1Notwithstanding the provisions of Rule 5.21.4, whenever two or more horses dead heat the Dividend payable shall be calculated in the following manner:

5.21.5.2the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are dead heaters and each resultant portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets wagered on the individual dead heaters; or

5.21.5.3in the Event of there being no winning Ticket on one of the dead heaters that portion of the Net Pool shall be carried forward and dealt with in terms of Rule 5.21.6.

5.21.6CARRY FORWARD:

In the Event of there being no winning ticket the Net Pool shall be carried forward and added to a net win pool selected at the sole discretion of the Operator’s Management, provided that such carry forward is made within 12 months of the original pool.

5.21.7SCRATCHINGS:

5.21.7.1If one horse gets scratched in a leg – the scratched horse and the winning horse between the two will be deemed winners for that leg.

5.21.7.2Two or more scratchings will mark all three horses as winners for that leg.

5.21.7.3No refunds shall be given in respect of scratched runners.

5.21.8ABANDONED OR CANCELLED LEGS:

5.21.8.1If, for any reason whatsoever, a H2H race is abandoned or cancelled, the Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the number of unit bets on the winning combinations in the Legs of the H2H which were duly decided, provided that if there is no unit bet on the winning combinations, read in conjunction with Rule 5.11.7.2, the provision of Rule 5.11.11 shall apply.

5.21.8.2All selections in any abandoned or cancelled Legs shall be deemed to be winning selections.

5.21.9BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply to the H2H Pool, unless otherwise specified.

5.21.10FIRST TIMER RULE:

The First Timer Rule shall not apply to the H2H unless otherwise specified.

BETS ON EVENTS OTHER THAN HORSERACING

1.1PURPOSE: The object of the MegaStrike10 is to forecast for each of ten soccer players the number of goals each will score in their nominated soccer match as designated in the official MegaStrike10 fixtures card for each event. There are three possible results for each player in their match viz., 
1.1.11 – Player Scores No Goals,
1.1.22 – Player Scores 1 Goal
1.1.33 – Player Scores 2 Goals or more. 
1.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: R2 unit with no fractional betting and R2 minimum bet
1.3RESULTS: 
1.3.1The result of each leg will be the number of goals scored by the player at the end of the normal 90-minute playing period plus any referee’s optional time that may be played. It shall not include any goals the player scores in extra time nor penalty Shootouts. Only goals scored for the players team (including penalties) will be counted. Own goals will not be added or subtracted to the count of goals scored by the player.
1.3.2The Operator will declare a dividend based on official match results as provided by official sources of matches.
1.3.3If a match started earlier than the advertised time, that is, before the close of the pool, and the operator was not able to close the pool at the start of such a match, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend. 
1.3.4A player will be deemed to have participated in a match if, according to official match results, they start the match on the field OR are substituted onto the field anytime during the normal 90-minute playing period plus any referee’s optional time that may be played. 
1.3.5If a player participates in a match as defined in 7.1.3.4 and then leaves the field for any reason (including, but not limited to injury, substitution, red card or end of game), they are still deemed to have participated in the match, irrespective of how little time they played in the match.
1.3.6If a player has not participated in the match as defined in 7.1.3.4, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend.
1.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND: 100% of the pool shall be allocated for tickets with all 10 player score forecasts correct.  If there are no winning tickets then the pool is not won and it shall be carried forward to a future MegaStrike10 pool at the discretion of the Host Operator. 
1.5ABANDONED, CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED MATCHES: If a match or matches, as advertised, is not completed by 9am on the day after the last day on which matches in the pool were scheduled, it shall be deemed abandoned and all choices shall qualify. The times at which matches are completed will be as supplied by the operator's official source, notwithstanding the operator's decision in terms of when a match has not been completed shall be final and binding. The operator reserves the right to extend the time for a match to be completed provided this does not unduly hamper the declaration of results and dividends.
1.6ADVERTISED FIXTURES: 
1.6.1For every soccer match designated in the official MegaStrike10 fixtures card, Team A will be the team playing at 'Home' and Team B will be the team playing 'Away'.
1.6.2To ensure customers are not disadvantaged in their assessment of the scoring prospects of a player based on the match fixture, all selections will qualify as winning selections for any player where their nominated match fixture is deemed invalid as per 7.1.6.3.
1.6.3A match fixture will be deemed to be invalid if Operator Management determine, at their sole discretion, the nominated match is played at a venue which is both an 'Away' venue for Team A and a 'Home' venue for Team B.  A neutral venue is not invalid.
1.7REFUNDS: If all the matches, as designated in the official fixtures card, are abandoned, all bets shall be refunded. 
1.8CARRY FORWARD: Should there be no winning tickets on a MegaStrike10 pool, the net pool shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaStrike10 pool, selected at the sole discretion of Operator Management, provided that such carry forward is made within one month of the original pool or, in the case where it is the last event of a particular season, it shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaStrike10 pool within one month of the commencement of the new season. 

2.1PURPOSE: The object of the MegaShoot10 is to forecast for each of ten basketball players the number of three-point shots each will score in their nominated basketball match as designated in the official MegaShoot10 fixtures card for each event. There are three possible results for each player in their match viz., 
2.1.11 – Player Scores less than 2 Three-Point Shots
2.1.22 – Player Scores 2 Three-Point Shots exactly
2.1.33 – Player Scores more than 2 Three-Point shots
2.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: R2 unit with no fractional betting and R2 minimum bet
2.3RESULTS: 
2.3.1The result of each leg will be determined by the number of three-point shots scored by the player at the end of the game, including any overtime that may be played.
2.3.2The Operator will declare a dividend based on official match results as provided by official sources of matches.
2.3.3If a match started earlier than the advertised time, that is, before the close of the pool, and the operator was not able to close the pool at the start of such a match, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend. 
2.3.4A player will be deemed to have participated in a match if they have played at least 1 minute of game time as specified by official match results. 
2.3.5If a player participates in a match as defined in 7.2.3.4 and then leaves the court for any reason (including, but not limited to injury, substitution, fouled out or end of game), they are still deemed to have participated in the match, irrespective of how little time they have played in the match.
2.3.6If a player has not participated in the match as defined in 7.2.3.4, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend.
2.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND: 100% of the pool shall be allocated for tickets with all 10 player score forecasts correct.  If there are no winning tickets then the pool is not won and it shall be carried forward to a future MegaShoot10 pool at the discretion of the Host Operator. 
2.5ABANDONED, CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED MATCHES: If a match or matches, as advertised, is not completed by 9am on the day after the last day on which matches in the pool were scheduled, shall be deemed abandoned and all choices shall qualify. 2.7REFUNDS: If all the matches, as designated in the official fixtures card, are abandoned, all bets shall be refunded. 
2.8CARRY FORWARD: Should there be no winning tickets on a MegaShoot10 pool, the net pool shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaShoot10 pool, selected at the sole discretion of Operator Management, provided that such carry forward is made within one month of the original pool or, in the case where it is the last event of a particular season, it shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaShoot10 pool within one month of the commencement of the new season. 

3.1PURPOSE: The object of the MegaSwing10 is to forecast for each of ten golfers the number of holes each player will score under par in a nominated round of a golf tournament as designated in the official MegaSwing10 fixtures card for each event. There are three possible results for each player in their round viz., 
3.1.11 – Player Scores a birdie or better on less than 4 holes
3.1.22 – Player Scores a birdie or better on 4 holes exactly
3.1.33 – Player Scores a birdie or better on more than 4 holes
3.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: R2 unit with no fractional betting and R2 minimum bet
3.3RESULTS: 
3.3.1The result of each leg will be the number of holes during the round where the player scores less than par on that hole.  Only the 18 holes played in regulation in the round are considered for the purposes of this bet. Any holes played in a playoff will not contribute to the players count of birdies or better.
3.3.2The Operator will declare a dividend based on official results as provided by official sources of player scoring results.
3.3.3If a player started a round earlier than the advertised time, that is, before the close of the pool, and the operator was not able to close the pool at the start of such a round, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend. 
3.3.4A player will be deemed to have completed a round if they have played and returned a result for all 18 holes of the round played in regulation according to official scoring results. 
3.3.5If a player has not completed a round as defined in 7.3.3.4, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend.
3.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND: 100% of the pool shall be allocated for tickets with all 10 player score forecasts correct.  If there are no winning tickets, then the pool is not won, and it shall be carried forward to a future MegaSwing10 pool at the discretion of the Host Operator. 
3.5ABANDONED, CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED ROUNDS: If a round for a player is not completed by 9am on the day after the last day on which rounds in the pool were scheduled, the round shall be deemed abandoned and all choices shall qualify. The times at which rounds are completed will be as supplied by the operator's official source, notwithstanding the operator's decision in terms of when a round has not been completed shall be final and binding. The operator reserves the right to extend the time for a round to be completed provided this does not unduly hamper the declaration of results and dividends.
3.6REFUNDS: If all the rounds as designated in the official fixtures card, are abandoned, all bets shall be refunded. 
3.7CARRY FORWARD: Should there be no winning tickets on a MegaSwing10 pool, the net pool shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaSwing10 pool, selected at the sole discretion of Operator Management, provided that such carry forward is made within one month of the original pool or, in the case where it is the last event of a particular season, it shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaSwing10 pool within one month of the commencement of the new season. 

4.1PURPOSE: The object of the MegaPass10 is to forecast for each of ten NFL quarterbacks the number of Passing Touchdowns each will complete in their nominated NFL match as designated in the official MegaPass10 fixtures card for each event. There are three possible results for each player in their match viz., 
4.1.11 – Player Completes less than 2 Passing Touchdowns
4.1.22 – Player Completes 2 Passing Touchdowns exactly
4.1.33 – Player Completes more than 2 Passing Touchdowns
4.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:
R2 unit with no fractional betting and R2 minimum bet
4.3RESULTS: 
4.3.1The result of each a match shall be the number of Passing Touchdowns scored by the nominated player at the end of the playing period including any overtime that may be played. 
4.3.2The Operator will declare a dividend based on official match results as provided by official sources of matches.
4.3.3In the event that a match started earlier than the advertised time, that is, before the close of the pool, and the operator was not in a position to close the pool at the start of such a match, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend. 
4.3.4A player will be deemed to have participated in a match if official match results specify the player played in the game.
4.3.5If a player participates in a match as defined in 7.4.3.4 and then leaves the field for any reason (including, but not limited to injury, substitution, or end of game), they are still deemed to have participated in the match, irrespective of how little time they have played in the match.
4.3.6In the event that a player has not participated in the match as defined in 7.4.3.4, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend.
4.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND: 100% of the pool shall be allocated for tickets with all 10 player score forecasts correct.  If there are no winning tickets then the pool is not won and it shall be carried forward to a future MegaPass10 pool at the discretion of the Host Operator. 
4.5ABANDONED, CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED MATCHES: If a match or matches, as advertised, is not completed by 9am on the day after the last day on which matches in the pool were scheduled, shall be deemed abandoned and all choices shall qualify. The times at which matches are completed will be as supplied by the operator's official source, notwithstanding the operator's decision in terms of when a match has not been completed shall be final and binding. The operator reserves the right to extend the time for a match to be completed provided this does not unduly hamper the declaration of results and dividends.
4.6ADVERTISED FIXTURES: 
4.6.1For every NFL match designated in the official MegaShoot10 fixtures card, Team A will be the team playing at 'Home' and Team B will be the team playing 'Away'.
4.6.2To ensure customers are not disadvantaged in their assessment of the scoring prospects of a player based on the match fixture, all selections will qualify as winning selections for any player where their nominated match fixture is deemed invalid as per 7.4.6.3.
4.6.3A match fixture will be deemed to be invalid if Operator Management determine, at their sole discretion, the nominated match is played at a venue which is both an 'Away' venue for Team A and a 'Home' venue for Team B.  A neutral venue is not invalid.
4.7REFUNDS: If all the matches, as designated in the official fixtures card, are abandoned, all bets shall be refunded. 
4.8CARRY FORWARD: Should there be no winning tickets on a MegaPass10 pool, the net pool shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaPass10 pool, selected at the sole discretion of Operator Management, provided that such carry forward is made within one month of the original pool or, in the case where it is the last event of a particular season, it shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaPass10 pool within one month of the commencement of the new season. 

5.1PURPOSE: The object of the MegaSmash10 is to forecast for each of ten cricket players the number of Sixes each will score during their batting innings in their nominated cricket match as designated in the official MegaSmash10 fixtures card for each event. There are three possible results for each player in their match viz., 
5.1.11 – Player Scores No Sixes,
5.1.22 – Player Scores 1 Six
5.1.33 – Player Scores 2 Sixes or more. 
5.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: R2 unit with no fractional betting and R2 minimum bet
5.3RESULTS: 
5.3.1The result of each leg will be the number of sixes scored by the player during their batting innings in their nominated cricket match during the regulation overs assigned for the innings but excluding any extra overs (such as super overs) that may be played. For a T20 match, the regulation overs are 20, for an ODI, the regulation overs are 50.
5.3.2The Operator will declare a dividend based on official match results as provided by official sources of matches.
5.3.3In the event that a match started earlier than the advertised time, that is, before the close of the pool, and the operator was not in a position to close the pool at the start of such a match, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend. 
5.3.4A player will be deemed to have participated in a batting innings if official match results specify the player faced at least 1 ball as a batsman.
5.3.5If a player participates in a batting innings as defined in 7.5.3.4 and then leaves the field for any reason (including, but not limited to retired injured or end of game), they are still deemed to have participated in a batting innings, irrespective of how few balls they faced during the innings.
5.3.6In the event that a player has not participated in a batting innings as defined in 7.5.3.4, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend.
5.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND: 100% of the pool shall be allocated for tickets with all 10 player score forecasts correct.  If there are no winning tickets then the pool is not won and it shall be carried forward to a future MegaSmash10 pool at the discretion of the Host Operator. 
5.5ABANDONED, CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED MATCHES: If a match or matches, as advertised, is not completed by 9am on the day after the last day on which matches in the pool were scheduled, shall be deemed abandoned and all choices shall qualify. 5.6.3 A match fixture will be deemed to be invalid if Operator Management determine, at their sole discretion, the nominated match is played at a venue which is both an 'Away' venue for Team A and a 'Home' venue for Team B.  A neutral venue is not invalid.
5.7REFUNDS: If all the matches, as designated in the official fixtures card, are abandoned, all bets shall be refunded. 
5.8CARRY FORWARD: Should there be no winning tickets on a MegaSmash10 pool, the net pool shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaSmash10 pool, selected at the sole discretion of Operator Management, provided that such carry forward is made within one month of the original pool or, in the case where it is the last event of a particular season, it shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaSmash10 pool within one month of the commencement of the new season. 

6.1PURPOSE: The object of the MegaKick10 is to forecast for each of ten AFL players the number of goals each will score during their nominated AFL match as designated in the official MegaKick10 fixtures card for each event. There are three possible results for each player in their match viz., 
6.1.11 – Player Scores less than 3 Goals
6.1.22 – Player Scores 3 Goals exactly
6.1.33 – Player Scores more than 3 Goals
6.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: R2 unit with no fractional betting and R2 minimum bet
6.3RESULTS: 
6.3.1The result of each leg will be the number of goals scored by the player during their nominated AFL match during the regulation 4 quarters for the match but excluding any extra time that may be played (such as extra time in a drawn final). 
6.3.2The Operator will declare a dividend based on official match results as provided by official sources of matches.
6.3.3In the event that a match started earlier than the advertised time, that is, before the close of the pool, and the operator was not in a position to close the pool at the start of such a match, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend. 
6.3.4A player will be deemed to have participated in a match if, according to official match results, they start the match on the field OR are substituted onto the field anytime during the regulation 4 quarters playing period.
6.3.5If a player participates in a match as defined in 7.6.3.4 and then leaves the field for any reason (including, but not limited to injury, blood rule, substitution, or end of game), they are still deemed to have participated in the match, irrespective of how little time they played in the match.
6.3.6In the event that a player has not participated in the match as defined in 7.6 all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend.
6.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND: 100% of the pool shall be allocated for tickets with all 10 player score forecasts correct.  If there are no winning tickets then the pool is not won and it shall be carried forward to a future MegaKick10 pool at the discretion of the Host Operator.

6.6.3A match fixture will be deemed to be invalid if Operator Management determine, at their sole discretion, the nominated match is played at a venue which is both an 'Away' venue for Team A and a 'Home' venue for Team B.  A neutral venue is not invalid.
6.7REFUNDS: If all the matches, as designated in the official fixtures card, are abandoned, all bets shall be refunded. 
6.8CARRY FORWARD: Should there be no winning tickets on a MegaKick10 pool, the net pool shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaKick10 pool, selected at the sole discretion of Operator Management, provided that such carry forward is made within one month of the original pool or, in the case where it is the last event of a particular season, it shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaKick10 pool within one month of the commencement of the new season. 

7.1PURPOSE: The object of the MegaTry10 is to forecast for each of ten rugby players the number of Tries each will score during their nominated rugby match as designated in the official MegaTry10 fixtures card for each event. There are three possible results for each player in their match viz., 
7.1.11 – Player Scores No Tries
7.1.22 – Player Scores 1 Try exactly
7.1.33 – Player Scores 2 Tries or more. 
7.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: R2 unit with no fractional betting and R2 minimum bet
7.3RESULTS: 
7.3.1The result of each leg will be the number of goals scored by the player during their nominated rugby match during the regulation 80mins for the match but excluding any extra time that may be played (such as extra time under the golden point rule). 
7.3.2The Operator will declare a dividend based on official match results as provided by official sources of matches.
7.3.3In the event that a match started earlier than the advertised time, that is, before the close of the pool, and the operator was not in a position to close the pool at the start of such a match, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend. 
7.3.4A player will be deemed to have participated in a match if, according to official match results, they start the match on the field OR are substituted onto the field anytime during the regulation 4 quarters playing period.
7.3.5If a player participates in a match as defined in 7.7.3.4 and then leaves the field for any reason (including, but not limited to injury, blood rule, substitution, or end of game), they are still deemed to have participated in the match, irrespective of how little time they played in the match.
7.3.6In the event that a player has not participated in the match as defined in 7.7.3.4 all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a dividend.
7.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND: 100% of the pool shall be allocated for tickets with all 10 player score forecasts correct.  If there are no winning tickets, then the pool is not won, and it shall be carried forward to a future MegaTry10 pool at the discretion of the Host Operator.

7.6.2To ensure customers are not disadvantaged in their assessment of the scoring prospects of a player based on the match fixture, all selections will qualify as winning selections for any player where their nominated match fixture is deemed invalid as per 7.7.6.3.
7.6.3A match fixture will be deemed to be invalid if Operator Management determine, at their sole discretion, the nominated match is played at a venue which is both an 'Away' venue for Team A and a 'Home' venue for Team B.  A neutral venue is not invalid.
7.7REFUNDS: If all the matches, as designated in the official fixtures card, are abandoned, all bets shall be refunded. 
7.8CARRY FORWARD: Should there be no winning tickets on a MegaTry10 pool, the net pool shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaTry10 pool, selected at the sole discretion of Operator Management, provided that such carry forward is made within one month of the original pool or, in the case where it is the last event of a particular season, it shall be carried forward and added to a net MegaTry10 pool within one month of the commencement of the new season. 

TAB LUCKY 7 pools are hosted on the Isle of Man and host rules apply as set out below.

7.8.1PURPOSE: The purpose of the bet is to forecast the time frame (as per defined time frames below) when the first goal, which shall include an own goal, is scored or that no goals will be scored, in each of 7 designated soccer matches (Match 1 or M1 to Match 7 or M7). There are 7 options or time frames to choose from in each of the seven matches and the number allocated to each option or time frame is used to mark the selection/s in each match. Options/time frames and applicable numbers are:

7.8.1.11 = Minutes 1 to 15 (goal scored in first 15 minutes)

7.8.1.22 = Minutes 16 to 30 (goal scored in minutes 16 to 30)

7.8.1.33 = Minutes 31 to half-time

7.8.1.44 = Minutes 46 to 60

7.8.1.55 = Minutes 61 to 75

7.8.1.66 = Minutes 76 to full-time (excludes extra time and penalty shootouts)

7.8.1.77 = No goals scored in match

7.8.2For result purposes the time or time frame the first goal is scored in a match will be as supplied by the operator’s official sources, notwithstanding that the operator’s decision in terms of the time frame a goal is scored in or if and when a match has not been completed will be absolutely final and binding.

7.8.3UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET: R2 with no fractional betting. Single or permutation entries at R2 per combination. A R2 Quick Pick option in which TAB’s computerised betting system chooses the numbers is also available.

7.8.4RESULTS:

If a match started earlier than the advertised time, that is, before the close of the pool, and the operator was not able to close the pool at the start of such a match, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a Dividend.

7.8.5CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

The pool will be distributed as follows:

7.8.5.170% of the pool will be allocated to selections/bets which predict/have all 7 correct (“Pool A”);

7.8.5.230% of the pool will be allocated to selections which predict any 6 correct (“Pool B”).

NOTE:

7.8.5.3If no all 7 correct winner/s, Pool A will be carried forward to Pool A of a selected Lucky 7 pool within 12 months of the original pool at the discretion of the Operator.

7.8.5.4If no any 6 correct winner/s, Pool B paid to any 5 correct winner/s and if necessary, to any 4, 3, 2 or 1 correct winner/s

7.8.6ABANDONED, CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED MATCHES:

7.8.6.1Any match in a Lucky 7 pool not completed by 9am on the day after the last day on which matches in the pool were scheduled, shall be deemed abandoned. In such an event the A portion of the pool shall automatically be carried over and all entries shall qualify only for payouts emanating from the B portion of the pool.

7.8.6.2The times at which matches are completed will be as supplied by the operator's official source, notwithstanding the operator's decision in terms of when a match has not been completed shall be final and binding. The Operator reserves the right to either abandon the pool in its entirety, in which case all bets will be refunded, or extend the time for a match to be completed, provided this does not unduly hamper the declaration of results and dividends.

7.8.7ADVERTISED FIXTURES

If, for any reason, the advertised fixture/s in the official programmes are not in order as per Operator Rule 6A above, the Operator shall declare, in accordance with the above-mentioned rule that all selections qualify as winning selections.

7.8.8REFUNDS:

If more than 4 (four) matches in a selection of a bet in the official fixtures card of a Lucky 7 Pool are abandoned, then that bet shall be refunded.

8.1.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Racing Car or Motorbike Trifecta (Wheels 3) is to select three cars or bikes to finish first, second and third in that order in an official grand prix race as designated in the official race sheet as a Trifecta pool race. The Trifecta shall operate where there are 3 or more starters.

8.1.2UNIT OF BET AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

8.1.3RESULT:

The result shall be the podium finish.

8.1.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit bets on the winning combinations/s.

8.1.5DEAD HEAT:

Notwithstanding the provisions of Rule 8.1.4 whenever two or more cars or bikes dead heat, the Dividend payable shall be calculated in the following manner:

8.1.5.1In the Event of a dead heat resulting in more than one winning combination, the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are winning combinations, and each such portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the combinations.

8.1.5.2In the Event of a dead heat for the first place between two cars or bikes they shall be deemed to have finished first and second and second and first. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more cars or bikes dead heat for first place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

8.1.5.3In the Event of a dead heat for second place between two cars or bikes they shall be deemed to have finished second and third and third and second. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more cars or bikes dead heat for second place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

8.1.5.4In the Event of two or more cars or bikes dead heating for third place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are dead heaters.

8.1.5.5In the Event of three or more cars or bikes starting a race and less than three cars or bikes finishing a race for any reason whatsoever, a Dividend shall be declared on the first and second placed cars or bikes with the field as the third place. If only one car or bike finishes, a Dividend shall be declared on that car or bike with the field for second place and the field for third place.

8.1.5.6In the Event of a selected car or bike being withdrawn before the official start of the race, the car or bike shall be deemed to be scratched and a refund of the money wagered, relating to the scratched car or bike shall be made.

8.1.5.7The official start of a race shall be that start that leads to the conclusion of the race and shall not include a start that is retaken, for whatever reason.

8.1.6CANCELLED OR ABANDONED RACE:

In the Event of a race being cancelled or abandoned for any reason whatsoever a full refund shall be made.

8.1.7CARRY FORWARD:

Should there be no winning Tickets on any of the winning combinations, the Net Pool shall be carried forward and added to a net Racing Car or Motorbike Trifecta (Wheels 3) pool selected at the sole discretion of the Operator’s management provided that such carry forward is made within 12 months of the original pool or, in the case where it is the last Event of a particular season, it shall be carried forward and added to a net Racing Car or Motorbike Trifecta (Wheels 3) pool within 12 months of the commencement of the new season.

8.2.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Racing Car or Motorbike Quartet (Wheels 4) [Formula 1 Quartet] is to select four cars or bikes to finish first, second, third and fourth in that order in an official grand prix race as designated in the official race sheet as a quartet pool race. The Quartet shall operate where there are 4 or more starters.

8.2.2UNIT OF BET AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

8.2.3RESULT:

The result shall be that as declared officially at the end of the grand prix race.

8.2.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit bets on the winning combinations/s.

8.2.5DEAD HEAT:

Notwithstanding the provisions of Rule 8.2.4 whenever two or more cars or bikes dead heat, the Dividend payable shall be calculated in the following manner:

8.2.5.1In the Event of a dead heat resulting in more than one winning combination, the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are winning combinations, and each such portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the combinations.

8.2.5.2In the Event of a dead heat for the first place between two cars or bikes they shall be deemed to have finished first and second and second and first. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more cars or bikes dead heat for first place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

8.2.5.3In the Event of a dead heat for second place between two cars or bikes they shall be deemed to have finished second and third and third and second. 8.2.5.4In the Event of a dead heat for third place between two cars or bikes they shall be deemed to have finished third and fourth and fourth and third. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more cars or bikes dead heat for third place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

8.2.5.5In the Event of two or more cars or bikes dead heating for fourth place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are dead heaters.

8.2.5.6In the Event of four or more cars or bikes starting a race and less than four cars or bikes finishing the race for any reason whatsoever, a Dividend shall be declared on the placed cars or bikes completing the race with the field in the other unfilled position/s.

8.2.5.7In the Event of a selected car or bike being withdrawn before the official start of the race the car or bike shall be deemed to be scratched and a refund of the money wagered, relating to the scratched car or bike shall be made.

8.2.5.8The official start of a race shall be that start that leads to the conclusion of the race and shall not include a start that is retaken, for whatever reason.

8.2.6CANCELLED OR ABANDONED RACE:

In the Event of a race being cancelled or abandoned for any reason whatsoever a full refund of the money wagered shall be made.

8.3.1PURPOSE

To select the winner of two chosen drivers over ten head to head duals as designated in the official F1 Pick 10 fixture card. There are two possible results for each Head to Head dual viz, 1. Driver A to beat Driver B, 2. Driver C to beat Driver D. TAB will select an official F1 event for the purpose of this bet.

8.3.2UNIT OF BET AND MINIMUM BET

Minimum bet R2. No fractional betting shall be permitted.

8.3.3RESULT

8.3.3.1The result of a race shall be the official order of finish at the end of the race.

8.3.3.2The Operator will declare a Dividend based on Official Results of races as provided by official sources of all races, e.g. F1 and other designated official sources.

8.3.3.3In the Event that a race started earlier than the advertised time, that is, before the close of the pool, and the Operator was not in a position to close the pool at the start of such a race, the pool will be refunded.

8.3.3.4Should both drivers in a selected H2H not finish, the driver that stops racing first will be declared the loser of the H2H. “Stops racing” refers to a driver or drivers not completing (for any reason) the required number of laps as decided by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (“FIA”). In the event where the two drivers cease racing owing to a collision with each other, the field will apply.

8.3.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND

The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit bets on the winning combinations/s.

8.3.5ABANDONED, CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED RACES

8.4.1PURPOSE

To select the top 4 fastest lap in exact order. TAB will select an official motorsport event for the purpose of this bet.

8.4.2UNIT OF BET AND MINIMUM BET

Minimum bet R2. No fractional betting shall be permitted.

8.4.3.1The result of a race shall be the official fastest lap times at the end of the race.

8.4.3.2The Operator will declare a Dividend based on Official Results of races as provided by official sources of all races, e.g. F1 and other designated official sources.

The purpose of the Show Jumping Trifecta Pool is to select three horses to finish first, second and third in that order in an official show jumping Event as designated in the official race sheet as a trifecta pool. The trifecta shall operate where there are 3 or more starters.

11.2.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

Refer to Chapter 4.

11.2.3RESULTS:

The result shall be that as declared by the official judges.

11.2.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit bets on the winning combinations/s.

11.2.5DEAD HEAT:

Notwithstanding the provisions of Rule 9.2.4 whenever two or more horse’s dead heat, the Dividend payable shall be calculated in the following manner:

11.2.5.1In the Event of a dead heat resulting in more than one winning combination, the Net Pool shall be divided into as many equal portions as there are winning combinations, and each such portion shall then be divided by the number of unit bets on each of the combinations.

11.2.5.2In the Event of a dead heat for the first place between two horses they shall be deemed to have finished first and second and second and first. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more horses dead heat for first place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

11.2.5.3In the Event of a dead heat for second place between two horses they shall be deemed to have finished second and third and third and second. There shall therefore be two winning combinations. Should three or more horses dead heat for second place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are possible combinations.

11.2.5.4In the Event of two or more horses dead heating for third place there shall be as many winning combinations as there are dead heaters.

11.2.5.5In the Event of three or more horses starting a show jumping Event and less than three horses finishing the Event for any reason whatsoever, a Dividend shall be declared on the first and second placed horses with the field as the third place. If only one horse finishes, a Dividend shall be declared on that horse with the field for second place and the field for third place.

11.2.6REFUNDS:

In the Event of a selected horse being withdrawn before the official start of the show jumping Event the horse shall be deemed to be scratched and a refund of the money wagered, relating to the scratched horse shall be made.

11.2.7OFFICIAL START:

The official start of show jumping Event shall be that start that leads to the conclusion of the Event and shall not include a start that is retaken, for whatever reason.

11.2.8ABANDONED, CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED MEETINGS:

In the Event of the show jumping Event being cancelled or abandoned for any reason whatsoever a full refund shall be made.

1.1.1To select the winning margin in official NBA matches as designated by the official Hoop 6 winning margin fixture.
1.1.2There are 13 possible results for each of the 6 matches viz,
1.1.2.1Team A to win by 1-5 points,
1.1.2.2Team A to win by 6-10 points,
1.1.2.3Team A to win by 11-15 points,
1.1.2.4Team A to win by 16-20 points,
1.1.2.5Team A to win by 21-25 points,
1.1.2.6Team A to win by 26+ points,
1.1.2.7Team A and Team B to tie (draw),
1.1.2.8Team B to win by 1-5 points,
1.1.2.9Team B to win by 6-10 points,
1.1.2.10Team B to win by 11-15 points,
1.1.2.11Team B to win by 16-20 points,
1.1.2.12Team B to win by 21-25 points,
1.1.2.13Team B to win by 26+ points.
1.2UNIT OF BET AND MINIMUM BET
Minimum bet R2. No fractional betting shall be permitted.
1.3RESULTS:
1.3.1The result of a match shall be the official result at the end of each match as declared by the official source/s. 
1.3.2The Operator will declare a Dividend based on Official Results of matches as provided by official sources of all matches, e.g. ESPN, NBA and other designated official sources.
1.3.3In the Event that a match started earlier than the advertised time, that is, before the close of the pool, and the Operator was not in a position to close the pool at the start of such match, all possible results/combinations will apply as the final result for that purpose and for purposes of calculating a Dividend.
1.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND
The Dividend shall be determined by dividing the Net Pool by the total number of unit bets on the winning combination/s. 
1.5ABANDONED, CANCELLED AND RESCHEDULED GAMES: 
Any match not completed or abandoned 24 hrs after the start of the official match time on which the match in the pool was scheduled, such match shall be deemed abandoned, and all options shall apply. The Operator reserves the right to either abandon the pool in its entirety, in which case all bets will be refunded, or extend the time for a match to be completed, provided this does not unduly hamper the declaration of results and dividends.
1.6ADVERTISED MATCHES
If, for any reason, the advertised option/s in the official programmes are not in order as per Operator Rule 6.A above, the Operator shall declare, in accordance with the above-mentioned Rule that all selections qualify as winning selections.
1.7REFUNDS: 
If all the matches, as designated in the official fixtures card, are abandoned, all bets shall be refunded.
1.8CARRY FORWARD:
Should there be no winning Tickets on the winning selection, the Net Pool shall be carried forward and added to a net NBA pool selected at the sole discretion of Operator Management provided that such carry forward is made within 12 months of the original pool or, in the case where it is the last Event of a particular season, it shall be carried forward and added to a net NBA pool within 12 months of the commencement of the new season.

15.2.1PURPOSE

15.2.1.1To select the highest scoring quarter in official NBA games as designated by the official Hoop 6 highest scoring quarter fixture/s.

15.2.1.2There are 5 possible results for each of the 6 matches viz,

15.2.1.2.1First quarter,

15.2.1.2.2Second quarter,

15.2.1.2.3Third quarter,

15.2.1.2.4Fourth quarter,

15.2.1.2.5Dead Heat (“Dead heat” meaning where in more than one quarter the score is the same for the highest scoring quarter).

15.2.2UNIT OF BET AND MINIMUM BET

Minimum bet R2. No fractional betting shall be permitted.

15.2.3RESULTS:

16.1.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Mega 6 Pool is to select the first six horses finishing times past the post in a race designated as a Mega 6 pool race. Each finishing time will be derived from the official winning time; a number will be calculated by adding the first two digits in milliseconds together. This will become each horse’s winning time number (1 to 19); number 19 shall represent ‘00’ from the first two digits in milliseconds.

16.1.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

R2. No fractional betting will be permitted.

16.1.3BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply to this pool.

16.1.4TYPES OF ENTRY:

Mega 6 bets will be captured as a Pick-6 bet type, where leg1 will represent the first position, leg2 the second position and so on. The type of entries for a Mega 6 bet will be the same as for a Pick-6 bet.

16.1.5CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

16.1.5.1The dividend shall be determined by dividing the net pool by the total number of unit bets on the winning combination. The net pool shall be divided in a major share (60%) and a minor share (40%) portion.

16.1.5.2The major share of the net Mega 6 pool shall be distributed to the ticket holders that selected the first six numbers derived from the winning times of the first six positions in the Mega 6 pool race, based upon the official order of finish.

16.1.5.3The minor share of the net Mega 6 pool shall be distributed to ticket holders whose selection finished first in the second greatest numbers derived from the winning times of the first six positions in the Mega 6 pool race.

16.1.5.4If there are no wagers selecting the first six numbers in the Mega 6 pool race, then the major share will be carried forward at the Operator management's discretion to any pool within 12 months of the original pool.

16.1.5.5If there are no wagers selecting the second greatest numbers, then the minor share shall be distributed to ticket holders selecting the next greatest numbers in the Mega 6 pool race. If there are no winning selections, then the minor share shall be carried forward at the Operator management's discretion to any pool within 12 months of the original pool.

16.1.5.6In the event where less than 6 horses run the race due to late scratchings, the field will apply for all missing times.

16.1.6DEAD HEAT:

In the event of a dead heat result in any of the first six positions, both finishing times will qualify as the same winning number in the respective position.

16.1.7REFUNDS:

In the Event of a Mega 6 pool race being cancelled or abandoned for any reason whatsoever a full refund will be made.

16.1.8CARRY FORWARD:

In the Event of there being no winning combinations on the Major share or Minor share, the respective Net Pool will be carried forward at Operator’s management's discretion to any pool within 12 months of the original pool.

16.2.1PURPOSE

The purpose of the Crack the Code (Pick 6) is to predict how many winning tickets there will be for a selected world lottery winning result (Not the actual numbers drawn). Each digit (first 6 digits) will represent a winning number.

Example:

The Megaball Winners in the MegaMillions draw for a specific day was 459001 ticket winners.

Pick 6 Leg 1 winner is “4” (1st Leg can only be number 1 – 9)

Pick 6 Leg 2 winner is “5” (2nd Leg can only be number 1 – 9 or 0)

Pick 6 Leg 3 winner is “9” (3rd Leg can only be number 1 – 9 or 0)

Pick 6 Leg 4 winner is “0” (4th Leg can only be number 1 – 9 or 0)

Pick 6 Leg 5 winner is “0” (5th Leg can only be number 1 – 9 or 0)

Pick 6 Leg 6 winner is “1” (6th Leg can only be number 1 – 9 or 0)

16.2.1.1In the event where less than 6 digits were available to make up the total ticket winners, a winning field will apply for all missing digit at the end of the number sequence.

16.2.1.2In the event where more than 6 digits were available to make up the total ticker winners, the first six digits (from left to right) will be used.

16.2.2UNIT OF BET AND MINIMUM BET

Minimum bet R2. No fractional betting shall be permitted.

16.2.3TYPES OF ENTRY:

Crack the Code bets will be captured as a Pick-6 bet type, where leg1 will represent the first position of the first digit, leg2 the second position of the second digit and so on. The type of entries for a Crack the Code bet will be the same as for a Horse race Pick-6 bet.

16.2.4CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND

16.2.4.1The dividend shall be determined by dividing the net pool by the total number of unit bets on the winning combination. The net pool shall be divided in a major share (60%) and a minor share (40%) portion.

16.2.4.2The major share of the net Crack the Code pool shall be distributed to the ticket holders that selected the first six numbers derived from the winning number of winning tickets of the first six digits in the Crack the Code pool game, based upon the official number of winning tickets.

16.2.4.3The minor share of the net Crack the Code pool shall be distributed to ticket holders whose selection finished first in the second greatest numbers derived from the winning number of winning tickets of the first six digits in the Crack the Code pool game.

16.2.4.4If there are no wagers selecting the first six numbers in the Crack the Code pool game, then the major share will be carried forward at the Operator management's discretion to any pool within 12 months of the original pool.

16.2.4.5If there are no wagers selecting the second greatest numbers, then the minor share shall be distributed to ticket holders selecting the next greatest numbers in the Crack the Code pool game. If there are no winning selections, then the minor share shall be carried forward at the Operator management's discretion to any pool within 12 months of the original pool.

16.2.5DEAD HEAT:

Dead Heat shall not apply to this pool.

16.2.6REFUNDS:

In the Event of a Crack the Code pool game being cancelled for any reason whatsoever a full refund will be made.

16.2.7CARRY FORWARD:

In the Event of there being no winning combinations on the Major share or Minor share, the respective Net Pool will be carried forward at Operator management's discretion to any pool within 12 months of the original pool.

16.3.1PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Mega Numbers Superfecta Pool is to select the first six horses finishing times past the post in a race designated as a Mega Numbers Superfecta Pool race. Each finishing time will be derived from the official winning time; a number between 1 – 50 will be allocated to each unique first two digits in milliseconds. This will become each horse’s winning time number (1 to 55); in the event where a number gets duplicated, “1” will be added until it becomes a unique number in the selection range; number 51 - 55 will be the highest numbers in the event of duplicating number 50. The first two digits in milliseconds X,01s to X,50s will be allocated to numbers as follows: X,01s=1; X,02s=2 and so on, to X,50s =50; similarly, then, continuing the first two digits in milliseconds X,51s to X,99s will be allocated to numbers as follows: X,51s=1; X,52s=2 and so on to X,99s=49; time X,00s will be allocated to the number 50.

16.3.2UNIT OF BETTING AND MINIMUM BET:

The unit of betting is R0,01. Minimum bet is R7,20 and increments of R7,20.

16.3.3BRACKETING OF HORSES:

The bracketing of horses shall not apply to this pool.

16.3.4TYPES OF ENTRY:

Mega Numbers Superfecta Pool bets will be captured as a Superfecta bet type, where only a Boxed bet will be available either as a Mystery Bet or as selected by the punter.

16.3.5CALCULATION OF DIVIDEND:

The dividend shall be determined by dividing the total net pool by the total number of correctly selected unit bets for the first 6 (six) horses, in any order.

16.3.6NUMBER OF RUNNERS

In the event where fewer than 6 horses run in a race, for whatever reason, the last placed runner’s finishing time will be used to add the number “1” to, in order to create the next unique number until all six numbers have been derived.

16.3.7DEAD HEAT:

If there is a dead heat (“tie”) in any of the first six finishing positions, both horses will be assigned the same winning number. To make the numbers unique, "1" will be added to one of the tied horses' times. If a dead heat occurs for 6th, or any other position that gives more than a total of 6 outcomes, only the lower, or lowest numbers that make a total of 6 numbers, will qualify.

16.3.8REFUNDS:

In the Event of a Mega Numbers Superfecta race being cancelled or abandoned for any reason whatsoever a full refund will be made.

16.3.9CARRY FORWARD:

Should there not be a correct combination of 6 horses in any order, the Net Pool shall be carried forward to a selected Mega Numbers Superfecta pool, at the Operator’s discretion.
